A short children’s documentary by Lauranne Van den Heede about a young boy with autism

Felix has his own radio show: Radio Felix! He reports on the major world events and from his own imagination. Actually, Felix has autism. He uses his radio show to get a clearer view on the problems he encounters at school.

About the director

Lauranne Van den Heede graduated from RITCS Film Academy in Brussels with her graduation work "Those We Become". After graduation, she made a commissioned documentary "A Reasonable Life": about the work and life of writer and filmmaker Marc Didden. Consecutively she was selected at the Ket&Doc workshop, a programme aimed at creating documentaries for children, where she developed "Radio Felix".

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
Textfield

Radio Felix is a documentary for children (age 11-14). I tried to visualize autism from the inner point of view of the child, which provides a deeper insight for an adult audience.
